The Nameless Quilt from Sew'n Wild Oaks Quilting Blog

Hello Everyone,
 
This is my "free" month where I can work on whatever I want to work on.  This wonderful grouping of Nancy's Needle fabrics by Betsy Chutchian, has been calling my name.....quite loudly at times.
 


These are the two blocks that I'll be combining in the quilt.


This is just a sample of what is on my design wall, and what the quilt layout is going to look like.  I absolutely love the "chain" effect in this quilt. 


All of the centers will contain a paisley.

Bursting My Buttons from Sew'n Wild Oaks Quilting Blog

Hello Everyone,
 
My buttons are bursting.....not from too much food over the Holidays.....but from the fact that I can finally tell you my Country Courthouse quilt is going to be featured in QuiltMania magazine this year!

I submitted a picture to the magazine last July, and I was notified in August that it was accepted for publication. 


The nerves set in immediately after acceptance, because I had to either have it quilted or do it myself.  I spoke with an award-winning professional quilter, Jill Schumacher, and she said this quilt should be completely stitched in the ditch ...

Christmas Came Early from Sew'n Wild Oaks Quilting Blog

Hello Everyone,
 
Instead of making Christmas cookies, I've been making blocks. I think they look good enough to eat. Anyway, if I make my cookies too soon, I'll eat them all before Christmas!
 

 
This box of quilted goodness arrived from Moda on Wednesday.  The box was full of Nancy's Needle fabrics by Betsy Chutchian.  I knew the box was in transit, and then it was delayed by two days.  When the box finally appeared on my doorstep, everything came to a complete stop at the cabin. I caressed it, then folded and refolded each and every piece ...
